Dusclops is a Ghost type Pokemon introduced in Generation III. It evolves from Duskull starting at level 37 and evolves into Dusknoir when traded holding a Reaper Cloth. Take a look below for 24 awesome and interesting facts about Dusclops.
1. Dusclops has a roundish gray body with two stubby legs.
2. Its body is hollow and can absorb anything much like a black hole.
3. It has a single red eye and three tooth-like projections.
4. It has two wispy, light gray growths coming out of its shoulders and one on top of its head.
5. Its light gray hands appear to be directly attached to its body.
6. It will wave these hands to hypnotize opponents, and then force them to do as it wills.
7. Dusclops usually lives in thick forests.
8. Dusclops can be seen as a parallel to Banette. Both are Generation III Ghost-type Pokémon that evolve from their pre-evolutions at level 37. Both also have the same base stat total. Wild Dusclops are exclusive to Ruby, while wild Banette are exclusive to Sapphire.
9. Dusclops seems to be based on the Hitotsume-kozō, a humanoid, Cyclops-like ghost. It also has similarities with the Chōchin-obake, which are one-eyed haunted paper lanterns, and mummies.
10. Dusclops may be a combination of dusk and cyclops.
11. Dusclops debuted in Jirachi: Wish Maker. It was one of the Pokémon that Butler used to perform in his magic show. He also used it to send Team Rocket blasting off and later to force Jirachi to open its Eye of Truth.
12. A Dusclops debuted in Disaster of Disguise, under the ownership of Timmy Grimm, who has owned it since it was a Duskull. It easily defeated Drew’s Roselia. It was then used in the Verdanturf Contest in Disguise Da Limit, where it faced off against May’s Skitty in the Battle Stage and lost. Timmy’s father, Tommy, also used a Dusclops when he was a Coordinator himself, as seen in a flashback in Disaster of Disguise.
13. A Dusclops appeared in PK15. It was one of the residents of a spooky house.
14. A Dusclops appeared in Gathering the Gang of Four and Pace – The Final Frontier!, under the ownership of Brandon. It was used against Ash at the Battle Pyramid. Dusclops proved to be quite powerful, being able to defeat Charizard before being taken down by Bulbasaur.
15. A Dusclops appeared in Who’s Flying Now? as one of the Pokémon featured in the Fortree City Feather Festival.
16. A Dusclops appeared in the opening sequence of Lucario and the Mystery of Mew.
17. A Coordinator’s Dusclops appeared in Team Shocker!, where it was participating in the Performance Stage of the Solaceon Contest.
18. A Dusclops appeared in The Scoop, where it was shown working at TV Mauville.
19. Much like his anime counterpart, Timmy Grimm owns a Dusclops. It appeared in A Mysterious Masked Man Appears!.
20. In Dreadful Dealing with Dusclops, a Dusclops was seen in Wally’s attempt to scale the Sky Pillar to be accepted into Norman’s tutelage. It nearly sucked up both Wally and the Treecko he rescued, but the Pokémon evolved and defeated it with a Leaf Blade.
21. A Dusclops belonging to the Battle Factory appeared in Interesting Interactions Involving Illumise.
22. A Dusclops joins Emerald’s team in As Luck Would Have It, Kirlia. It had been illegally added to the Battle Pike and Emerald determined that he came from Mt. Pyre. He calmed him and took him following the fight at the Artisan Cave.
