25 Amazing And Fascinating Facts About Corphish From Pokemon

Corphish is a Water type Pokemon introduced in Generation III. It evolves into Crawdaunt starting at level 30. Take a look below for 25 amazing and fascinating facts about Corphish.

1. Corphish is a red shelled, crustacean Pokemon with a short tail similar to a lobster.

2. Its eyes are saucer-like with small pupils, and it has three spikes on top of its head.

3. It possesses four pairs of limbs in total: two large pincers used for gripping prey, and three pairs of legs used for walking.

4. The upper segments of its legs, underside of its body and lower halves of its pincers are cream-colored.

5. A hardy creature, Corphish is able to live in polluted water and eat nearly anything.

6. Though not native to Alola, Corphish set free by Trainers there have easily adapted and thrived in the region. 

7. Feebas and Corphish are the only Pokémon known to be able to live in stagnant ditches.

8. Corphish is the only Pokémon to date with a catch rate of 205.

12. Corphish may be a combination of corps (a branch of military servicemen; pronounced as core) or corporal (a member of the military or police force) and crayfish (the species it is based on). Alternatively, it could derive from the archaic Newfoundland fishing term corfish, which are a type of dried fish.

13. A Corphish appeared in Gone Corphishin’, where Ash battled and eventually caught it. Since then, it has served as the main comic relief of Ash’s team, and the only Pokémon that Ash caught in Hoenn that hasn’t evolved.

14. Corphish debuted in Which Wurmple’s Which?. Ash caught it on his fishing line and it subsequently attacked him and his friends.

15. A Corphish appeared in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time & Darkness and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky – Beyond Time & Darkness. He was one of the two Pokémon (the other being Chatot) who kicked Team Razor Wind out of their guild.

16. A Corphish appeared in Cheers on Castaways Isle!, where it was shown stacking rocks around a glowing jewel that turned out to be a Deoxys.

17. A Corphish was caught by Rocko in A Surface to Air Tag Battle Team!. Its Bubble Beam became a vital component for a unique combination invented by Rocko, called “Bubble Drill”.
