Katja Mira Herbers, born October 18, 1980, is a Dutch theater, film, and television actress. She’s best known for portraying Dr. Helen Prins on the American television series Manhattan and the emotionally unstable borderliner Joyce on the Dutch show Divorce. 1. Herbers is the daughter of violinist Vera Beths and the oboist and conductor Werner Herbers.

2. Growing up, she spent time in America, accompanying her mother on tour with the group L’Archibudelli.

3. Her mother remarried cellist Anner Bylsma and her father remarried costume designer Leonie Polak, who introduced her to the theater.

4. She had a Canadian au pair and learned to speak Dutch, German and English growing up.
