Meowstic is a Psychic-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VI. It evolves from Espurr starting at level 25. Take a look below for 30 interesting and fascinating facts about Meowstic.
1. Meowstic is a bipedal, feline Pokemon whose appearance differs drastically between genders.
2. Both genders have two tails, folded ears, a small collar of fur around the neck, and a tuft of fur on top of the head.
3. The male Meowstic is predominantly dark blue.
4. Its eyes are green with light blue sclerae.
5. The tuft of fur between its ears is white and curves slightly to the side and the collar around its neck is white with several stray tufts of fur.
6. It has pointed ears with white at the fold and on the tips of its ears; there is also a white ring near the tips of its ears.
7. Its tails are also pointed with white tips and a white ring near the end.
8. There is a tuft of fur on each hip and it has white paws.
9. The female Meowstic is predominantly white.
10. Its ears have no markings and curled tips and its eyes are red with yellow sclerae.
11. The tuft of fur on its head is blue and curled, as is the collar around its neck.
12. Its tails are blue at the base and end in white, fluffy curls.
13. There are blue, stocking-like markings around its paws and two tufts of fur on each hip.
14. The eye-like organs hidden under the fold of Meowstic’s ears emit psychic energy powerful enough to obliterate a 10-ton truck or taker.

21. During Google’s April Fools’ Day 2014 event, Meowstic’s genders had separate Dex numbers in Google’s regional Dex. The male was #139, while the female was #140.
22. In Pokémon Rumble World, other than the gift that’s obtainable from entering a password, all Meowstic that appear to have the male color scheme are internally tagged as female, and vice versa.
23. Similar to Indeedee, in Pokémon Sword and Shield only one gender of Meowstic appears in the wild: males in Pokémon Sword, females in Pokémon Shield.

Meowstic may be based on the domesticated variety of nekomata, a cat yōkai that comes from a domesticated cat who lives many years until its tail splits and it gains supernatural powers, much like how Meowstic evolves from Espurr. Nekomata were often depicted as standing on two legs like a human, and in at least one account shown to be wearing handkerchiefs on their heads, similar to Meowstic.
25. It could also be based on the very similar bakeneko. In addition, its folded ears are similar to the Scottish Fold breed of cat.
26. Meowstic is a combination of meow and mystic. It may also derive from stoic, referring to its generally emotionless facial expression.
27. A female Meowstic appeared in Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction, under the ownership of Astrid. She battled Ash and Froakie and defeated Froakie with Charge Beam.
28. Both a male Meowstic and a female Meowstic appeared in Splitting Heirs!. The male was under the ownership of Blake, while the female was under the ownership of Heath.
29. Both male and female Meowstic appeared in A Showcase Debut!, under the ownership of Blanche. They were seen participating in the Coumarine City Pokémon Showcase. Blanche’s female Meowstic reappeared in A Performance Pop Quiz! and Party Dancecapades!.
30. A male Meowstic appeared in Performing with Fiery Charm!, under the ownership of Miette. He was used in the Dendemille Town Showcase, where he helped Miette make Poké Puffs with his Psychic.
