21 Fun And Interesting Facts About Gabite From Pokemon

Gabite is a dual type Dragon and Ground Pokemon introduced in Generation IV. It evolves from Gible starting at level 24 and evolves into Garchomp starting at level 48. Take a look below for 21 fun and interesting facts about Gabite.

1. Gabite is a medium sized, bipedal dragon like Pokemon that is primarily blue.

2. Its underside is light blue, with red covering it from the middle of its abdomen to the bottoms of its jaw.

3. Gabite has two appendages that resemble jets or plane engines extending out the side of its skull.

4. Each appendage has a blue stripe.

5. It has four fins, one on each arm, one on its back and another on its tail.

6. The back fin has a notch on it for the male.

7. It has spikes on its hind limbs, and sharp claws on its feet.

8. Its eyes have black sclerae and gold colored irises.

9. Gabite is a fierce and predatory Pokémon, known for its scales, of which have medicinal properties and can heal most illnesses.

10. Gabite has short, extremely sharp teeth, like its pre-evolution, Gible.

11. It has been known to move at extreme speeds.

12. Gabite is also a very territorial creature, and will fight back against enemies to protect its home.

17. Due to the censor that prevents Pokémon with offensive nicknames being traded on the GTS, an English language Gabite cannot be traded on the GTS without a nickname in Pokémon Black and White.

18. Appearance-wise, Gabite seems like a cross between a European dragon and a shark; it may be based on the landshark creature from Dungeons & Dragons.

19. Ursula owns a Gabite, which debuted in Another One Gabites the Dust!. The episode also marked the species’ main series debut. Gabite is Ursula’s main Pokémon and has been used in several Contest Battles.

20. Gabite debuted in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time & Darkness. He was sick of others wanting to get his scales, so he asked for a battle in exchange for one. He was eventually beaten by Team Poképals as part of their first exploration mission, who needed a scale to heal a Shinx’s ill younger sister.
