21 Fun And Awesome Facts About Simipour From Pokemon

Simipour is a Water type Pokemon introduced in Generation V. It evolves from Panpour when exposed to a Water Stone. Take a look below for 21 fun and awesome facts about Simipour.

1. Simipour is a simian Pokemon that is primarily blue.

2. Its ears are broad with light blue insides, and it has oval eyes and a small black nose. 

3. There are several tufts of fur on its head, which resemble dreadlocks.

4. These tufts can store water, which it collects with its tail.

5. Simipour has a white marking around its neck that resembles a ruff; and a cream-colored face, hands, arms, legs, and feet.

6. Its hands have five fingers, and its feet have three toes.

7. Its tail is tipped with blue plume, resembling a spout of water.

8. This tail can shoot powerful, pressurized blasts of water.

9. Simipour prefers to live near clean water.

10. Simipour represents February in the Unova horoscope.

11. Simipour’s official game artwork previously showed its entire tail to be completely blue instead of tan with a blue tip.

12. Simipour is based on a monkey and a fountain; because of this, it may have been inspired by the water dwelling monkey-like creature ahuizotl, or may be a visual pun on Sea-Monkeys.

13. The ability to store water in its hair may also reference the Kappa, a Japanese reptilian yōkai that stores water on a dish of sorts on its head.

14. Its chest fur resembles that of a volcano and may have possibly been based on geysers, subaqueous volcanoes, cryovolcanoes, or the Guatemalan Volcán de Agua.

15. Its chest fur may otherwise possibly represent the froth of a gushing waterfall, with its blue locks symbolizing the waterfall.

18. Simipour debuted in Search for the Clubultimate!, under the ownership of Betty. It battled Getty’s Simisear during the Clubsplosion tournament and won. It was later used in a match against Ash’s Scraggy in A Clubsplosion of Excitement!, but was defeated.
